Abstract General introduction about the heavy metals, its toxicity and the effects of these metals on living organisms. Firstly : The detailed survey on the phase separation in cloud point extraction. The introduction is also included on the importance of using solid phase extraction (SPE) as a useful technique used for separation and preconcentration of trace metal ions. Different methods used for the modification of the cellulose were reported. Secondly : Includes a list of reagents, stock solutions along with the analysis, physical measurements and instruments (IR, UV-Vis, ICP-OES).Applications of the proposed method for separation metal ions from different media (geological and water samples). Preparation of (AG-MC).Metals ions Pt4+, Pd2+, Au3+,La+3, Nd+3 ,U+6 ,Th+4, Ti+4) Thirdly: The optimum pH for the maximum sorption capacity of all studied metal ions lie in Pt4+, Pd2+, Au3+ (4-5).The sorption capacity of ((AG-MC)), is in range (40-85mg g-1) for Pt4+, Pd2+, Au3+. The sorption capacity of ion imprinted Amino Guanidine modified cellulose (AG-MC) (115mg/g) and hydrazine imidazolino (55-120mg/g). The optimum condition of ECR, CTAB, and Triton X-114 is 1.0×10-3 mol L-1, 1.0×10-3 mol L-1, 1.0 % (v/v). The best centrifugation rate at 3000 rpm and time at 10 min. Room temperature 25oc by using concentration 0.1mol L-1 of KI. The absorption spectra of ECR is 518nm. |
