Abstract Through this thesis has been studying phytochemical study of aerial parts of Forsskaolea tenacissima Linn., which include preliminary phytochemical screening of aerial parts of the plant. Extraction, fractionation and isolation of constituents from aerial parts of the plant and isolation of 17 compounds and their structural elucidation using different methods such as physical, chemical and spectroscopic types of analysis including 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR DEPT, HSQC, HMBC, ROESY and mass spectroscopy (low and high resolutions), they include 5 new compounds. Biological study of the plant showed the acute toxicity study of aerial parts of the plant, in addition to in vivo biological study of aerial parts of the plant such as antidiabetic and wound healing activities. Moreover, in vitro biological study of aerial parts and roots of the plant such as cytotoxic, anti-obesity and anti-allergic activities. |
