Abstract

This research was a prospective study done on fifty patients aged
between 18 and 55 years old complaining of a suspected breast lump.
Patients selected from The University Hospital of Menoufiya Surgery
Clinic. After fulfilling the medical history , the patient will be subjected
to the modified triple score (mTTS) according to the protocol of work up.
This research revealed that breast cancer is the most common cancer
and the most frequent cause of cancer death among women worldwide.
Worldwide, breast cancer is the leading type of cancer in women,
accounting for 25% of all cases.
Breast cancer has a complicated etiology that includes genetic,
biological, behavioural, environmental and social factors . Risk factors
for developing breast cancer include being female, obesity, lack of
physical exercise, drinking alcohol, hormone replacement therapy during
menopause, ionizing radiation, early age at first menstruation, having
children late or not at all, older age, prior history of breast cancer, and
family history.
More than 80% of breast cancer cases are discovered when the woman
feels a lump. The earliest breast cancers are detected by a mammogram.
Also from this research we found that Inflammatory breast cancer is a
particular type of breast cancer which can pose a substantial diagnostic
challenge and paget’s disease of the breast presents as skin changes
resembling eczema, such as redness, discoloration, or mild flaking of the nipple skin.
