Abstract

Currently, environmental pollution generated from waste disposal has become one of the top problems in urban aquatic ecosystems throughout the world. Recent scientific knowledge suggests that environmental pollution, especially in aquatic environments, is already at alarming levels. The hazardous components existing in those systems are diverse enough to include emerging contaminants (e.g., heavy metal ions and dyes) which cause progressive toxic effect with gradual accumulation in living organisms over their lifetime. Therefore, removal of this contaminates from water is an important issue.
There is several treatment methods such as ion exchange, precipitation, adsorption, membrane separation, photo catalytic degradation and biosorption have been applied for removing of these pollutants. Among these, adsorption is considered to be the most efficient, economical, and simplest method for water treatment. So developing of an efficient and new adsorptive materials becomes an important issue.
Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are porous crystalline materials that are usually constructed from inorganic metal ions (or metal clusters) and organic ligands that interact to form an infinite network structure. Recently, metal organic frameworks (MOFs) have received significant attention owing to their high specific surface area, chemical and thermal stabilities which make them widely used as adsorbent of heavy metals and dyes for water treatment. Although (MOFs) have all of this properties, they suffer from low water stability and low selectivity. Therefore, several research are being conducted to improve its selectivity and stability in water.
In this study a new adsorbent composite Mn-doped UiO-66/Aminated-graphene oxide (Mn-UiO-66@GO-NH2) was synthesized via solvothermal method and well- characterized by.
