Abstract

Typically and conventionally in the architecture design process are no longer working with the current development in the architecture field and in the future, with the current computer age and its developments through different programs and software, therefore, a new term emerged applying the Biomimicry by using the parametric design; an algorithmic approach, an efficient, flexible tool, and looking to the nature and the environment through Biomimicry. By using this technique, it’s allowed to produce several different models and explore the variations of the design with saving effort and time by using computer programs. By applying the Biomimicry through the parametric design programs and tools, Rhino and Grasshopper, in the form generation of a tall office building in Al-Basrah, Iraq, the result has generated unconventional, adaptive building form, a variable, renewed, daily, monthly, and yearly, looking to the nature and the environment of the place, keep pace with the future developments in the architecture, and besides that reducing the effect of the radiation of the building at the same time. This technique, which used in this study is provided unlimited alternatives to the architects and designers in the architecture field or the other fields like: the interior design and décor field, the urban design and urban planning.
