Abstract ABSTRACT : The present study aimed at remedying the English pronunciation errors of secondary stage students through using an android handheld mobile application. It adopted the quasi-experimental design using sixty-eight students from Al-Huda w Al-Nour Secondary School (first year). The participants were divided into two groups: an experimental and a control group. The instruments used in the study included: a pre-post pronunciation test for evaluating students’ performance of English language pronunciation, and an English pronunciation android application. Results of the study revealed that there were statistically significant differences between control and experimental groups on the post pronunciation test in favor of the experimental group. These results generally indicate the effectiveness of using the android application in remedying the experimental group students’ English pronunciation errors. Finally, it was found that the android application is effective in remedying the English pronunciation errors. |
