Abstract

The present study was conducted on 580 camels from 2015 to 2021, these animals were divided into part 1 and part 2:
Part 1: Normal imaging of 30 camels (15 females, 5 males and 10 camel calf) to determine the proper acoustic windows of internal organs.
Part 2: Clinical cases were divided into:
1-Intra abdominal affections: it was seen in 265 cases which was sub- divided into blood parasite and intestinal obstruction.
2- Extra abdominal affections: it was visible in 285 cases which was divided into abscess, hernia, hematoma and bursitis.
Ultrasonographic imaging was conducted on abdominal organs such as liver, kidneys, spleen and gastrointestinal tract in consider with its anatomical positions.
Thus, the acoustic windows during ultrasonographic examination of different internal organs were determined, also the ultrasonographic pattern of the normal camel organ parenchyma.
Results of the present study revealed that, the total number of clinical cases suffered from abdominal distension was 265 camels divided into 218 cases of blood parasite (Trypanosomisis) and 47 cases of Intestinal obstruction.
