Abstract

The study was designed to evaluate the sensitivity and specificity of using the salivary extracellular vesicles as a non -invasive source of (miRNA-412, miRNA-512) to detect the malignant transformation of the potentially oral premalignant lesions using qRT-PCR analysis.
Research hypothesis:
In patients with potentially malignant lesions, does Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) analysis for salivary extracellular vehicles (EVs) miRNAs (miRNA-412, miRNA-512) help to discriminate between potentially malignant lesions and control normal cases, in equality to tissue biopsy?
