Abstract Reinforced concrete is one of the most important construction materials, so it is of interest to researchers to improve its properties and strengthen the structural member made of them where these members are subject to deterioration due to insufficient design, overload due to change in use, and exposure to high temperatures. This research presents experimental investigation for eight beams in two sets; each set contains a control beam and three beams strengthened by the three different methods without changing its dimensions. The beams were tested under four point loads. Ultimate loads, load-deflection curves, cracking and crushing patterns for strengthening beam had been compared with those of the RC beams without strengthening in shear and flexure stresses also researchpresents numerical study by ANSYS 15 on the best methods from experimental work and study the effect of some of parameter on beams • Effect compression stress value for concrete for shear and flexure set. • Effect ratio of longitudinal steel in flexure set. • Effect ratio of stirrups steel in shear set. |
