Abstract This study aims to investigate the direct and indirect effect of high performance work systems and career adaptability through the mediating role of creative self-efficacy for Damietta banks’ employees. The study employed a deductive approach and a quantitative research method. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 257 banks’ employees. Structural equation modeling was employed to show the causal relationships between the study variables. The study findings of the current study revealed that high performance work systems have a significant positive effect on creative self-efficacy. There is a significant relationship between creative self-efficacy and career adaptability. Additionally, the findings also showed that high performance work systems have a significant positive effect on career adaptability. Finally, the creative self-efficacy mediates the relationship between high performance work systems and career adaptability. |
