Abstract

Isolation, purification and characterization of PDG from Serratia marcescens.
lod 2 : Preparation and characterization of four essential oils from fresh leaves and cones
of Cupressus sempervirens, Cupressus macrocarpa and Thuja orientalis.
hod 3 : Preparation and characterization of four extracts from dried leaves and cones of
Cupressus sempervirens, Cupressus macrocarpa and Thuja orientalis.
thod 4 : Maintaining the mosquito by rearing the culture of Culex pipiens
thod 5 : Dose response bioassay separately of the all preparations, extracts and the
chemical insecticide.
»thod 6 : Investigation for the synergistic effect of prodigiosin with each essential oil, each
extract individually and with the spinosad as mosquito larvicidal potential.
ethod 7 : Investigating the mode of action of PDG, volatile oils and extracts for mosquito
larvicidal potentially.
lethod 8 : Statistical analysis.
The results of the present study are summarized as follows:
1- The R/of the tested sample was approximately equal to that of the standard (0.29 vs 0.25) and that confirms that the tested sample is PDG.
2- That FT-IR of the red pigment was matched with that of the standard of the PDG and that confirms that the red pigment is PDG.
3- FT-IR absorption in ethanol for the EOl, E02, E03 and E04 was dominated by very
