Abstract In this study we tried to compare the surgical outcomes of usingpreputial grafts and buccal mucosal grafts in the two-stage repair of primarycases with sever proximal hypospadias. 50 patients (17 perineal, 19 scrotal,13 penoscrotal and 1 proximal penile) were included in this study, classifiedin to two groups:group I: 25 (50%) patients underwent staged hypospadias repair using preputial graft in the 1st stage.group II: 25 (50%) patients underwent staged hypospadias repair usingbuccal mucosal graft in the 1st stage.The mean age of the patients at the 1st stage was 9.5 (range 6.5 – 15)and 8.7 (range 6 – 13) months in the preputial and buccal mucosal groups respectively. |
