Abstract The aim of our study is to evaluate effect of addition of chitosan nanoparticles to (Guttaflowbioseal, MTAfillapex and Adseal) on physical properties in terms of: film thickness, setting time and push out strength. Film thickness was measured using digital caliper, setting time was measured using indentation test according to ISO 6768 and push out bond strength was evaluated using universal testing machine. The total numbers of roots (n=60) were classified into six groups according to type of sealer. All testes were evaluated before and after addition of chitosan nanoparticles. The results were compared and statistically analyzed. Statistically there is insignificant difference in film thickness value of Adseal sealer, but there is significant difference in film thickness of MTAfillapex and Guttaflowbioseal. There is insignificant difference in initial and final setting time of Adseal sealer. There is significant difference in initial and final setting time of Guttaflowbioseal and MTAfillapex. There is significant difference in push out bond strength of coronal, middle and apical cross sections obturated with Adseal, Guttaflowbioseal and MTAfillapex sealers. |
