Abstract

Sound quality in concert halls can be affected very strongly by the interior design in the auditorium and the architectural elements fixed inside it. So that the sound quality inside the reused halls like conference halls, or multipurpose halls is affected very negatively as those halls are not originally designed to be concert halls. That happens because of the wrong sound distribution which causes either unwanted echoes, or auditory death in some spots inside the hall. In the last two situations most of the decision makers in those halls are forced to use complicated sound systems to enhance the sound quality. These sound systems are very complicated, expensive, needs specials technicians, however they can’t fix the sound completely. So that the thesis aims at creating interactive agile interior design that can interact easily with the music types and the music events by using parametric interactive architectural features. Then there should be a data base of the ideal sound measurements to be used in a digital script used to ensure the efficiency of the proposed design.
