Abstract

The current study was conducted to evaluate the effect of the physical chemical properties of water on the physiological changes and reproductive performance of the tilapia fish, (temperatures, different concentrations of ammonia, and the interaction between them), and the effect of this on the growth rates and biological measurements as well as the fertility rates of the tilapia fish after exposure to different temperatures and concentrations of ammonia. During the 60-day trial period. The results showed that the difference in temperature and total ammonia led to significant differences in water quality, as well as blood measurements, gonad index, fertility, and larval production for females in the spawning season, as well as significant differences in growth during different temperatures, different ammonia levels, and interference. Between them compared to the control groups, the higher the temperature and the higher the total ammonia concentration and the higher the non-durable ammonia content. This study showed that the Nile tilapia fish was positively affected by the high percentage of total ammonia in the diet during their reproduction stages. It led to lower growthrates.
