Abstract

This research can be seen as innovative because scholarly work on Architecture Heritage from the Greco-Roman period has, up to the present day, not mainly discussed their characteristics, elements and decorations, with no reference to their potential socio-economic significance. Furthermore, these studies have mostly focused on bronze ages rather than classical periods, and a comprehensive analytical overview is still lacking. The researcher analysed the plans of the buildings and their architectural features by conducting a descriptive, analytical, and interpretative study. He also conducted comparisons with similar buildings outside the Lebanon. This has given us a better understanding of the nature of the social and religious life in the entire Lebanon and the knowledge gap has been bridged to a satisfying extent as well as examining the role of „World heritage in sustainable development based on their potential as cultural heritage sites, and examine some of the concepts of community role in conservation of WH.
