Abstract Based on the results of hematological, biochemical, ultrasound, computed tomography and RT-PCR diagnostics in dogs of different breeds, an algorithm for the differential diagnosis of hepatobiliary pathologies was developed. The advantages of modern non-invasive molecular cytological markers, compared with classical clinical-hematological, sonographic and computed tomographic indicators in the early differential diagnosis of liver pathologies in dogs, have been scientifically proved. The diagnostic fold change and cut-off values for cfa-miRNA were determined, as well as the profile of its specificity and sensitivity for differentiating various hepatopathies. It has been shown that the use of the inflammatory serum biomarker S100A12 makes it possible to differentiate different forms of cholecystitis. The current study introduced differential diagnostic criteria for acute and chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, portosystemic shunts, cholelithiasis, cholecystitis, which are of basic importance for assessing the prognosis of the disease. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is confirmed by two protected licensed documents (patent No. 2758950 and No. 2768154). |
