Summary
The problem of the Study :
The problem of bullying results in many behavioral problems, including the problem of resistance in its various forms, defensive resistance and hostile resistance. Negative and internal and external pressures that resulted from the situation he suffers, and therefore many forms of resistance appear, in the form of missing appointments or in the form of questioning the questions and words of the social worker, or disregard for his efforts or silence or in the form of motor, verbal or behavioral expressions or lying to him .
The importance of the study:
- The study is exposed to an important age group, which is the category in which personality features are formed and it is easy to form and evaluate socially undesirable behavior to understand the future of societies.
The presence of irrational ideas related to resistance among bully students that needs to be modified.
Explanation of the phenomenon of bullying students’ resistance when dealing with a social worker and analyzing its causes is of great importance in helping social workers analyze the reasons for the futility of efforts made with some clients, which allows them to have a more sensitive understanding of how the client is aware of the assistance process and its importance.
- The richness of cognitive behavioral therapy in strategy and techniques, which helps the researcher to develop a proposed vision to alleviate the problem of resisting bullying students in the current study.
- Objectives of the study:
The objectives of the study are defined as follows:
The first main objective:
Recognizing the patterns of resistance of bullying students when dealing with the social worker. Several sub-goals emerge from this goal, which are as follows:-
- Recognizing the patterns of defensive resistance among bullying students when dealing with the social worker.
- Recognizing the patterns of aggressive resistance of bullying students when dealing with the social worker.
The second main objective:
Develop a proposed scenario from the perspective of cognitive behavioral therapy to deal with the problem of bullying students’ resistance to the social worker.
Study questions:
First, the main question:
What are the types of bullying students’ resistance when dealing with the social worker? Several sub-questions emerge from this main question.
- The first sub-question: What are the patterns of defensive resistance among bullying students when dealing with the social worker?
- The second sub-question: What are the patterns of aggressive resistance of bullying students when dealing with the social worker?
Second: The second main question:
- What is the proposed scenario to reduce the resistance patterns of bullying students when dealing with the social worker in the light of the cognitive-behavioral therapy model?
Concepts of the study:
• Resistance concept.
• Bullying concept.
• Concept of cognitive behavioral therapy.
Methodological procedures for the study
Type of study:
Consistent with the study problem and in agreement with its objectives, the researcher places the type of his study in the analytical descriptive study
The method used
In his current study, the researcher relied on the sampling social survey method on a number of preparatory stage students.
Study tools:
Individual and group interviews in the service of the individual with students, a questionnaire sheet linked to the forms of resistance of bullying students )fields of study).
A- Spatial domain: This study was applied by the Qusiyah Education Department to the middle schools affiliated to the Qusiyah Education Department.
B - human domain: by selecting a sample of students of different educational levels in the preparatory schools affiliated to the Qusiyah Educational Administration, and their number is (120) students divided into males and females in middle schools.
C - Time domain: the data were collected from the study population in the period from 16/3/2022 to 6/5/2022 and is determined from the start of data collection until the completion of the current study.
Study results.
Regarding the question about the forms of resistance of bullying students to treatment:
• The hostile resistance ranked first with a relative strength of 55.4%.
• The defensive resistance came in the forefront and ranked second with a relative strength of 53.04%.
