Abstract

In the context of the development of traditional electricity networks due to
their serious defects since their use and their transformation into a smart network as
a result of the urgent need to connect generation stations, transmission lines and
distribution stations to consumers, the smart electricity system is one of the solutions
that can track and monitor customer consumption, allowing customers to manage
their energy needs more efficiently and at a cost in This work has been completed
two parts of the work The theoretical system and the practical system.
First, using simulation where a prepaid meter system has been set up to get all
the electric power consumption in a small area. The area consists of individual units
such as the room in the hall and the apartment in the building where a five-storey
building is designed and each floor of the apartment each apartment contains
different devices and therefore different power loads and sends this data to the cloud
server. Data processing and generation of power consumption profiles of units for
different time periods obtained from simulations taking into account power network
definitions, as well as taking advantage of IoT advantages in how to remotely
disconnect power when a theft is detected in an area.
