Abstract

Gathering new multi-gas production wells with other old gas wells has many economic benefits. Unfortunately, the newly discovered gases have chemically and physically different properties than the old wells. This work will increase the Process safety events (PSEs) number. Furthermore, the new wells contain very toxic gas (H2S) with a high-pressurized flow rate. The redesign is a challenge within such very complicated clusters. In addition, the production rate should be maintained without interruptions. The main purpose of this study was to assess the risk of receiving traps pipelines of the largest Egyptian Gas Processing Mega Plant due to the new feed. The nominated study area is located in a very populated area and very near to an international road. It would give rise to domino effects risk.
