The study aimed to identify the relationship between self-accountability, moral competence and self-regulatory behavior among university students. The current study sample consisted of (n = 360) male and female students, and they were randomly selected from Ain Shams University students, and the self-accountability scale prepared by Walid Ashour was applied to them (2013) and the moral competence scale prepared by the researcher, and the Self-Regulatory behavior scale prepared by the researcher. The results showed that there are statistically significant differences in the average scores of students in the total degree of self-regulatory behavior and all its sub-components (goal setting and planning, emotional control, attention guidance, self-monitoring And its evaluation) according to the difference in the total degree of moral competence, and it also found that there are statistically significant differences in the average scores of students in the total degree of Self-Regulatory behavior and all its sub-components - except for emotional control - according to the total degree of self-accountability, while there is no effect of the interaction between moral competence. And self-accountability for the difference in students’ averages in the total score for self-regulatory behavior and all its sub-components. The results of the regression analysis also revealed that there is apositive contribution of the total score of self-accountability and moral competence in predicting the total score of self-regulatory behavior and its sub-components.
