المستخلص The present study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a selective counseling program in reducing feeling of marital future anxiety in female blind adolescents. The study sample consisted of (10) female blind adolescents aged 12-18 years (MA 13.10 SD 1.32) referred from Alnoor School for the blind in Mansoura divided into two equivalent groups: Experimental and control. Study instruments implied Marital Future Anxiety Scale and a selective counseling program (developed by the researcher). Results revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental and control groups in the post test on the Scale of Marital Future Anxiety (Marital Choice, Psychological and Social Dimensions and Total Score) in favor of the control group. Results also revealed statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the pre and post tests on the Scale of Marital Future Anxiety (Marital Choice, Psychological and Social Dimensions and Total Score) in favor of the pretest. Whereas results revealed no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks of the experimental group in the post and follow up tests on the Scale of Marital Future Anxiety. Results showed high effect size of the selective counseling program in reducing feeling of marital future anxiety (Marital Choice, Psychological and Social Dimensions and Total Score) of the experimental group as well. The researcher recommended using the selective counseling program used in the present study for reducing feeling of marital future anxiety in in female blind adolescents.
