Abstract
This thesis owes its existence to the help, support and inspiration of several people. I would like to thank all the people who contributed in some way to the work described in this thesis. First and foremost, I thank my academic advisor, Associate professor Mervat H. El- Hamamsy, who suggested the research project for her guidance during my research. Her support, inspiring suggestions and her immeasurable patience during this period of studies. I am greatly thankful to Associate professor Eman A. El-Bastawissy for her continuous encouragement, precious advices, meticulous corrections and creative help. I am truly indebted to Assistant professor Haytham O. Tawfik for his continuous help and support. His valuable advices, insightful scientific comments and constructive criticism made this piece of work valuable. His deep knowledge and experience helped to enlighten me the first glance of this research. I would like to thank Professor Dmitry D. Zhdanov the head of Medical Biotechnology laboratory at the Institute of Biomedical Chemistry (IBMC), Moscow, Russia and Yulia A.
