Abstract Two field experiments were conducted during two successive summer seasons of 2018 and 2019 cotton crop (Gossypium barbadenseL.) Giza 94 was planted. Eight treatments + control were evaluated to demonstrate the effect of herbicides on the density of weeds and the mor- phological characteristics of weeds and cotton. Moreover, all weed con- trol significantly decreased weeds parameters and increased yield compo-nents in both seasons. Also, gave a highly significant increase in seed cot- ton yield (Kantar/Fadden). The highest values were obtained with Stomp + hand hoeing (45 DAP) and hand hoeing twice (30, 45 DAP) during two seasons (12.32a, 11.62a) and (11.9 a, 10.9 ab). from obtaining resultsthe highest effect on fresh and dry weight weeds decreased with theStomp ®+ hand hoeing (45 DAP) and hand hoeing twice ( 30, 45 DAP).These practices gave the highest reduction in weeds density and increasedcotton. 1. Effect of some treatments on the fresh and dry weight of weeds (g/m2): 1.1. Effect on fresh weight of broad-leaved weeds (g/m2): Gave the best control in the 2018 summer season. But 2019 summer seasons, Stomp® + hand hoeing (45 DAP), hand hoeing twice (30, 45 DAP), Scrabble + Fusilade forty compared with the untreated check. |
