المستخلص

• Objectives of the research : The research aimed at identifying ” The effect of an action research-based training program in developing Knowledge Economy Skills for Social Studies Teachers at the primary Stage”.
• Research group:The research was conducted on a sample of social studies teachers at the primary stage. They were 23 teachers at Al Kharga educational Directorate, New Valley Governorate.
• Limitations of the research:The current research was limited to Some cognitive economy skills (creative thinking, problem solving and decision making, critical thinking, cooperative work, technological skills) , in the first semester of the school year 2019-2020.
• Materials and instruments of the research:Instruments of the study were a training program based on action research, a test of knowledge economy skills, an observation sheet for the skills knowledge economy, ( prepared by the researcher).
• Methodology of the research :The descriptive approach and the quasi-experimental approach were adopted.
• Results of the research showed that there is a statistically significant difference at 0.01 between the means of scores of the experimental group in the pre and post implementations of the test, favoring the post implementation. Also there is a statistically significant difference between the means of scores of the experimental group in the pre and post implementations of the observation sheet, favoring the post implementation. Finally, the researcher could arrive at a correlation between the skills of critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, and technological usage, which shows that the teacher who got a high score on the test may get a high score in the observation sheet, and vice-versa.
