Abstract The first chapter covers the literature survey up to date on the synthesis of 1,3,5 <triazine derivatives and relevance of their biological applications.The second chapter consists of the equipment’s and chemicals used in the work. It also includes the method of preparation of 4,4’,4’’-((1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6- triyl)tris(azanediyl))tribenzoic acid as well as its methyl ester and its hydrazide derivatives. In addition, the monochlorinated s-triazine derivatives were prepared via nucleophilic aromatic substitution of two chlorine atoms from cyanuric chloride in twosteps reaction. The first chlorine atom of cyanuric chloride was replaced by glycine at 0-5°C. While, the second chlorine atom was replaced by glycine, piperidine or morpholine at room temperature. Furthermore, the C3-symmetrical s-triazine derivatives were prepared by the reaction of the hydrazide derivative prepared in the first step with three equivalents of monochlorinated s-triazine derivatives. |
