Abstract
Aim of the work is to compare the safty and effectivnessof laparoscopic sleeve gasrtectomy and laparoscpic minigastric bypass in treatment of morbid obesity material and method 60 morbid obease patiants divided into two equal groups L.S.G was done for the first group and L.M.G.B for the second group patiants of both groups were followed up for 6 months to detect body weight loss , complication and comorbidities improvement. Result operative time and mean length of hospitalization were shorter in L.S.G. The mean percentage of excess weight loss (% EWL) at 6 months follow up was 64.5% in L.S.G group and 60.2% in L.M.G.B group. Improvement was observed in all comorbidities in both groups. Rehospitalization and reoperation were not required in any cases. Conclusion both L.S.G and L.M.G.B are safe,short simple and effective operations
