Abstract Infertility is the inability to conceive after a year and at least one of regular unprotected intercourse. It is a common medical condition affecting about 9 and 25% of couples worldwide. Primary infertility is a term when pre-pregnancy is not achieved, while secondary infertility indicates to delay pregnancy in a patient who was previously able to cause pregnancy (Manssor et al., 2019). The prevalence rate differs across both a developed and non-developed countries, being the last in the latter where there are limited resources for diagnosis and treatment. More than 186 million people around the world are infertile, most of who are residents of developing countries (Inhorn and Patrizio, 2015). |
