Abstract The present thesis illustrates the details of the parametric study for the precipitation of magnesium from bittern as magnesium oxalate. The target of thesis is to produce magnesium oxalate as a precursor for high purity MgO production. A kinetic study was developed to describe the process. The effect of different calcinations temperature was studied, giving high purity magnesium oxide with excellent morphology. Preliminary techno-economic feasibility was performed showing profitable promising study |
