Abstract

Bisphosphonates are anti-resorpatives which have been widely used for the management ofmany bony conditions in cludingosteoporosis. They are available in two for mulations oral and IV BPs. In spiteof the favorable effects of BPs on bone tissue, they have an extremely serious complication on prolonged use which is BRONJ. This study aimed to assess the impact of oral and intravenous administration of BPs on bone healing after tooth extraction and compare the histopathological and radiographic density of the alveolar bone associated with both ways of administration
