Abstract Granulomatous mastitis is a benign breast disease that was first described in 1972 by kessler and wolloch, it is a benign chronic inflammatory breast disease that mimics to a great extinct breast cancer so that clinical and radiological presentations of GM are non- specific and may be mistaken with other breast conditions miming GM. In the past the only line of treatment for GM was surgical excision however recent studies showed marvelous results with medical treatment. So it was important to highlight different methods of diagnosis and treatment approaches that were done in the past years at the NCI with comparison of cure and recurrence rates in different approaches |
