Abstract Aim of the work: To evaluate effectiveness of intra-articular corticosteroid injections after manipulation of frozen shoulder under general anaesthesia followed by physiotherapy and compare the same in cases where no intra-articular corticosteroid injections. Patients and methods: 30 patients of primary frozen shoulder were managed by manipulation under general anaesthesia technique in Military production hospital from March 2015 to March 2016. Results: By comparing the American shoulder and elbow surgeons score system applied on the patients of study who received intra-articular steroid injection after manipulation under anaesthesia of their frozen shoulders as a combined therapy (group A) to patients of the control group who did not injected (group B). There was a significant p-value difference favoring the combined therapy than the manipulation alone |
