Abstract Aim: To evaluate the fracture resistance and color changes of ceramic laminate veneers prepared with modified gull wing and conventional preparation Methodology: Twenty -four ceramic laminate veneers were fabricated for maxillary anterior teeth. The patients were divided into two groups according to the preparation technique group 1(control group) conventional preparation technique and group 2 (intervention group) gull wing preparation technique . Standardized the same incisal preparation with butt joint design and chamfer finish line located supra gingival were performed for all the teeth. The veneers surfaces were treated and silanated according to the manufacture instruction of each ceramic and enamel surfaces were etched where total etch adhesive protocol was obeyed using BISCO. Fracture resistance and color change for both groups were evaluated according to United States public health services (USPHS) criteria. Results: Fracture resistances and color change were evaluated according to the criteria of USPHS and we found there is no significant difference as both groups scaled zero score. Conclusions: Both preparation techniques of laminate veneers revealed high successful clinical performance in terms of fracture resistance and color stability |
