Abstract
This thesis considers the estimation of the entropy and the residual entropy of a two parameter Lomax distribution based on generalized Type-I hybrid and generalized Type-II hybrid censoring schemes. For the entropy and residual entropy the parameters are estimated by the maximum likelihood and Bayesian methods. Illustrative example of the estimation of the entropy for the generalized Type-II hybrid censoring scheme, and simulation studies are also performed
