Abstract Premature ejaculation (PE) is one of the most commonly reported male sexual complaints. The current treatment choice for premature ejaculation is medical treatment. The main limitation of medical treatment for premature ejaculation is recurrence after withdrawal of medication. To evaluate Effect of botulinum-A toxin injection into bulbospongiosus muscle on ejaculation latency time in human. A total of 25 patients with PE not responding to SSRIs either on demand or daily according to the definition of the forth international consolation of sexual medicine 2018 were involved in this study. Each patient was injected with 20 IU of Botulinum toxin in the bulbospongiosus muscle. evaluation was carried out using intravaginal ejaculation latency time (IELT), Premature diagnostic tool (PEDT), and sexual satisfaction score pre-injection then 1 and 6 months post injection . After one month of treatment, Botox injection in bulbospongiosus muscle increased latency time among responder median from 1(0.5-1) to 5 (2-20). this increase shows a statistical significance with p value 0.001, Sexual satisfaction score median was improved among responders from 1(1-1) to 3 (1-5), this increase shows a statistical significance with p value 0.002 This pilot study suggest that Botox injection in bulbospongiosus muscle is effective treatment to improves ejaculatory control and ameliorate couple satisfaction over the sexual intercourse |
