Abstract
RD of various types is considered one of the main ocular diseases.PPV is considered one of the main lines of treatment. SO provides excellent structural support to maintain retinal attachment due to its high viscosity and surface tension. However, its use has been associated with many complications.OCT is a non-invasive technique which provides high-resolution images of the macular layers. Additionally, it is a beneficial tool for identification of SO maculopathy even in clinically normal maculae.
