Abstract

Lung cancer represents the second most prevalent kind of cancer in the world and the fifth most frequent in Egypt. The most common etiology for lung cancer is tobacco smoking, These hazards include residential radon from soil and occupational exposures of various origins. in addition, Domestic fuel smoke in low-income nations and chronic lung disorders such as COPD, asthma, and sarcoidosis. Many pathways and implicated genes and proteins in lung cancer have been uncovered, and lung cancer therapies have improved in recent years, but a breakthrough in the early diagnosis of LC has yet to be reached. and therefore, the identification of prognostic factors is of great importance because they can contribute to the early detection of the tumor, increasing the possibility of eliminating it from its origins and increasing the survival rate. The advancements in molecular profiling in lung cancer can provide powerful tools for implementing new diagnosis methods. The main goal of the current study aimed to investigate the possible association of EGFR rs121913438 and rs121434568, TP53 rs1042522, and A1AT rs17580 and rs8004738 gene polymorphisms in susceptibility to non-small cell lung cancer in Egyptians.
