Abstract This thesis presents a study of ZigBee and Wi-Fi networks and how to optimize their performance through load balancing, integration, or both. The study analyzed and configured different aspects and concepts to depict and inspect the effect of applying the different optimization techniques on the mentioned network types and technologies.Chapter 1: Introduction to this thesis’s main study, which is applying load-balancing protocols on an integrated network of ZigBee and Wi-Fi technologies and studying the effect of applying integration and load balancing simultaneously on a vast-scale network. Chapter 2: A survey the previous studies on ZigBee and Wi-Fi, where the main concern is how to integrate both networks into one single network while overcoming the challenges that may occur due to that integration. Some of the challenges that may arise could be frequency ranges, throughput, or network performance, and how to deal with them while integrating those different technologies. |
