Abstract
Recently, numerous studies have been done to investigate the effects of the extremely low frequency magnetic fields and ionizing radiation on biological system .Due to the complexity of the biological system, however, the results of different studies are quite variable and the mechanisms of action are still poorly defined. Still the question whether extremely low frequency magnetic fields cause biological effects is of special interest. This work is dedicated to study the effects of such extremely low frequency magnetic fields and high energy photons on some biophysical properties of rat bone. In this study, focus has been on finding the relative biological effectiveness.
