Abstract

ABSTRACT g IV Abstract The present study aims to make a subsurface geophysical study to delineate the structural setting of the Kenz oil field and also to determine the petrophysical characteristics of Bahariya reservoir to calculate the oil reserve using the available data through building a structure and petrophysical models for Kenz oil field. Kenz field is located at the eastern border of Shushan basin in the northern part of the Western Desert, the field covers an area of about 165 km2. The interpreted seismic sections, geo seismic sections, two-way time maps and depth structure contour maps were constructed to focus on the structural pattern of the study area and to outline the configuration of the structures that would be convenient for petroleum accumulations.
