Collaborative applications have lately gained extra momentum due to two recent phenomena; data explosion and cloud computing. By hosting big data and applications on the ”cloud’’, it becomes easier for large organizations with varying levels of mutual trust permissions to share and collaborate over resources and services. However, one of the main challenges of the organizations collaboration is that each organization needs to control access to its sensitive resources and services. Normally, control access is known as Authorization. Authorization is usually implemented as role-based access control (RBAC), which has been recently proposed as a consolidated, multitenancy cloud service. On the other hand, RBAC rules of the collaborating organizations are stored centrally with a trusted authorization provider to mask heterogeneity and to simplify management. A critical factor to success such aggregating approach to access control is the scalability of the stored rules to the number of collaborating organizations and to the degree of collaboration
