Abstract
The DNA profile for Plumbago indica L. and Plumbago auriculata
Lam. was investigated by means of RAPD-PCR technique. The result
showed distinguishable bands generated 72 & 57 fragments pattern,
respectively for P. indica L. and P. auriculata Lam. Preliminary
phytochemical screening revealed that both plants contain:
carbohydrate or / and glycosides, tannins, flavonoids and unsaturated
sterols and /or triterpenes.
