Abstract In the current study, we report our experience with abdominal trachelectomy post subtotal hysterectomy surgery, and include a summary of the current literature to provide a reference for the management of this disease. We collected and analyzed retrospective data on the clinical presentation, pathology, management, post operative complications and indication for this surgery that was done at department of gynecological oncology, NCI, Cairo University between October 2010 and October 2020. This study included 34 patients. Mean age of our patients was 55 years old ranging from 42 to 72 years. The indication for trachelectomy was perisistent vaginal bleeding in most cases and pathological surprise of cancer detected postsubtotal hysterectomy surgery. |
