Abstract This study was conducted as a randomized controlled clinical trial to evaluate the clinical and esthetic outcome of using CTG or mFGG a combined with tunneling technique in the treatment of Miller`s class III gingival recession Twenty-Two patients with class III gingival recession complaining from elongated teeth were involved in the current study. The patients were randomly allocated into two groups (n=11); TUN+CTG group and TUN+mFGG group. The root coverage esthetic score was assessed in addition to the recession depth, width, keratinized tissue thickness and Height were assessed on the baseline, 3 months, 6 Months. In our study, no statistically significant difference regarding the RES and keratinization thickness were observed between the two groups. The clinical and esthetic outcomes were significantly enhanced in the two groups. Connective tissue graft is more capable in enhancing the root coverage percentage and recession depth reduction than the mFGG.. Mean root coverage of more than 77% is predictable when TUN+CTG were performed in treating class III recession. |
