Abstract

Context; Placenta accreta (PA) occurs when chorionic villi grow into the myometrium from the decidua basalis. It’s important to note that the severity of placental invasion into the uterine wall characterizes a range of morbidly adherent placenta. The purpose of this study, which will run from January 2022 through December 2022 at Minia Maternity & Babies University Hospital, is to assess the efficacy of various approaches to treating placenta accreta spectrum patients. Objects and approaches; Between January 2022 and December 2022, researchers from the Minia University Hospital for Women and Children analyzed data from all selected patients or verified with placenta accreta. Conclusion: Fifteen (14.7%) of the women in the study had hysterectomy. The other 87 female patients were treated with conservative surgical methods. Women who had a hysterectomy tended to have younger GAs than those who chose more conservative treatment choices, suggesting a correlation between the two procedures. There were differences in management style that were not statistically significant with the other factors we looked at. In conclusion, hysterectomy and other forms of conservative surgery are effective treatments for PAS. PAS seems to be a potentially lethal illness. Since C-section rates are rising all around the globe, the prevalence of PAS is expected to rise as well. Therefore, practitioners must be conscious of the challenges involved with treating and diagnosing this illness. Acretion of the Placenta (PA).
