Abstract

Time management is important component of work performance and professional nursing practice, determinant of success, improvement of managerial abilities, preservation of human resources, reduction of stress, and eventually, increase of job satisfaction and mental health among managers. Which they have tons of things to improve their work provide healthcare services to patients and managing time managers control both personal and external time wasters to increase their productivity and delegate tasks. Delegation is granting the authority and responsibility for performing a task to another individual, motivate members, spread the work load and train future officers. Delegation skill is an important part of time management for managers’ success, abilities and performance in hospital.So, the present study aimed at assess nurse managers time management strategies and its relation to their effective delegation skill in intensive care units. Descriptive- correlational research design was utilized in current study. The study was conducted at Tanta University Main Hospitals and El-Menshawy General Hospital, which affiliated to Ministry of Health in El-Gharbia Governorate.
