Abstract This work has been carried out to synthesize, characterize and use the following: 1- A newly amine-functionalized silica-pectin hybrid material (P-AFS) was prepared by a hard template method via grafting of the silica precursors, covalently bonded to pectin in the presence of toluene for efficient phosphate removal .The adsorbent properties were investigated, and the phosphate adsorption properties and processes on P-AFS were examined and compared to the adsorption of various anions. 2- Lanthanum hydroxide La (OH)3 nanorod employing a facile method via a co-precipitation method using NaOH as an auxiliary agent. The formation of nano La (OH)3 rod was confirmed by transmutation electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR).Phosphate 3- Green zero-valent iron (G-nZVI) and graphene nano- zero-valent iron (Gr-nZVI) as possible alternative methods for its removal from aqueous solutions. The adsorbents were successfully synthesized by the green approach, and different investigation techniques were used for determination of their characteristics. The conditions and the mechanism of adsorption of nitrate on G-nZVI and Gr-nZVI were studied in detail. For this study that includes: Reduction of Nitrate by graphene nanoscale Zero-valent Iron. |
