Abstract The development of the receiver tube and assembly of a linear fresnel collector became an important step towards improving its performance in power generation and industrial applications. At fraunhofer ISE a thermal resistance model (TRM) has recently been developed taking into account the presence of a secondary mirror of different geometries of a LFC receiver. Heat losses are simulated using this TRM, showing the effect of different parameters e.g. working fluid temperature, wind speed, wind direction, direct solar irradiance, sun position, ambient temperature, aperture area of the collector. Hence, a sensitivity analysis will be conducted to conclude which parameters have the most dominant effect. The output will be creating new heat losses correlations to describe accurately the behavior of heat losses based on variation of its parameter |
