Abstract
The present study was designed to compare the effect of using extracoronal attachments versus Clasps of removable partial denture in unilateral mandibular distal extension edentulous area (Kennedy Class }}) on the muscle activity by using electromyography Tenl patients received clasp retained partial denture then biting force was recorded immediately on insertion, one week, and one month following insertion. After the last record was taken; attachment retained partial denture was constructed and replaced clasp retained partial denture The data collected, tabulated, statistically analyzed. Conclusion:from the result obtained the following was concluded:Increase in the EMG muscle activity during follow up period after construction of clasp retained partial denture and attachment retained partial denture for temporalis and masseter muscles
