Abstract

The thoracolumbar (TL) spine region is the area most of vertebral fractures happen. The TL region is viewed as the most vulnerable part of the spine, as it is the transition zone from the rigid thoracic spine to the mobile lumbar spine. Consequently, it is inclined to harm in instances of expanded pressure and injury. The TL region is the territory where practically 90% of every all spinal fractures happen.(9) The goal of fracture treatment primarily is to obtain and maintain a stable reduction that leads to early mobilization and, ultimately, union and satisfactory function. A secondary aim is to restore sagittal alignment which has gained increasing emphasis in the last decade.(5) Posterior short segment fixation including the proximal and distal adjacent normal vertebrae is the most commonly performed surgery for the vast majority of thoracolumbar fractures, Posterior pedicle screw fixation has been shown to be simple, familiar, efficient, reliable, and safe for the reduction and stabilization of most fractures and remains the most popular technique.(8).
